Knitting , weaving, felting and basketry
the Sutton Valley Weavers' Guild meets every Tuesday in West-Brome. (Sole Road ) for such activities. Doreen Page at 538-3846, can be asked for details.
Jocelyne Bonneau Boyce at 538-2977 at Le Cotillon, 4 Rue Pins (near CIBC) has several courses to offer. Painting courses are also given by Norma Smith (295-3116) above the fish store in Sutton..
Singing in a choir
Suzan Reininger at 263-5068 is currently running the Potpourri Choir on Thursday nights at 7 p.m., one night in Sutton , one in Mansonville. However, if she gets enough people together in Sutton, she would be happy to run the choir weekly at the Community Center.
Learning Spanish
Norka Muriel at 538-6375 is willing to give lessons at the Center. She holds already classes in Abercorn on Wednesdays, from 1.30 p.m. to 3.30 p.m.
Exercising for health
Pina Macku at 538-3063 has been giving exercise classes in the room above the Town Hall since 1980. The winter schedule is Mondays and Thursdays from 9.30 a.m. to 10.30 p.m. She charges $6.00 per session or $40.00 for 8 sessions. She is also willing to give classes to people with restricted physical abilities, which could be held in the Community Center. Classes could begin as soon as a minimum of 6 people have registered.
Discussion groups
Daniel Laguitton (owner of the health food store in Sutton) is willing to give his skill and knowledge to the community as a resource person; i.e. grief, addiction (chemical or other dependencies), philosophy, spirituality, poetry readings.
Sutton Library:
(at the Community Center) opening hours: tuesday from 2:30 to 5:00 pm, thursday from 10:00 to noon, Friday de 2:30 to 7:00 pm, Saturday from 10:00 to noon.

Sutton heritage walking tour
New in Sutton: Sutton Heritage Tour and Sutton Museum of Communications and History. Interpretive panels offer information on 26 sites of interest, 16 in the village and 10 on the back roads, allowing you to discover the charms of this old village founded by the Loyalists in 1802.
The Church-Cemetery Tour is Sutton’s third Heritage Tour. As with the Village et Rural Tours, it starts at the Sutton Museum of Communications and History. This tour features six churches and sixteen cemeteries.

Museum of communications and heritage of Sutton
Located in the heart of the village, at the start of the Sutton Heritage Tours, The Eberdt Heritage Museum transports you to a universe of communication and history. Established in 1963 by Edmund J.O. Eberdt, the Museum is housed in the old stable of the Billings' domain (1806). It was donated to the town by Mr. Eberdt in 1999. With communication technology as a guiding thread, you are invited to discover part of the Sutton region's history, from the first post office to the telegraph service, the glory days of radio and the arrival of television. The Museum also includes a temporary exhibit hall. The theme of the exhibit is normally related to the history of the region or some specific aspect of communication technology.
